Ari Prastama (30 years old)
Ranger – Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park
Ari worked with WWF and his office is Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park, helping the biodiversity survey, camera trapping, wildlife monitoring and patrol the illegal activity to protect the National Park.
Ari participate with WWF program by conserving natural resources, particularly in forest and rangelands. Looking after habitats in the forest to controlling numbers Sumatran rhino. Working with the police to catch poachers or anyone disturbing or killing wildlife or stealing birds ‘eggs and fighting forest fires, also raising awareness of conservation and the environment through events and activities.
Ari said: “The best thing about my job for me is being outdoors and able to work in conservation with lots of different people”
